What is the Computer Science Club?
The SSU Computer Science Club is a sanctioned club on campus for people who have an interest in Computers. We exist to provide opportunity for people to discuss and share their experiences with computers and computer science.
Do I have to be a Computer Nerd to be part of the SSU Computer Science Club?
No, but you do have to be interested in computers. Meetings are open to the general public, but campus rules limit official membership to registered students, faculty or staff of the campus.When do we meet?
Every other Tuesday from 12:00pm to 1:00pm in Darwin 25 or Darwin 28. If you would like to see what is coming up, check out our upcoming events.How do we raise money?
We have various fund-raising events which we staff, and sell various products and items. Examples include:- Welcome Weekend Ethernet Cable Giveaway/Donations
- CS Club T-Shirts
- Book Raffles
What is this end-of-year Picnic/BBQ I hear about?
Every year, the computer club gets together to offer a party to CS Students at the end of the Spring Semester. Food is provided from money raised by the club and its members.How do I join the CS Club?
Show up at one of our meetings and we can sign you up. The meetings are in Darwin 25 or 28 at the noon of every second Tuesday during the spring and fall sessions.
